MetaStatic Rivers 2024 Collection is a video series of musical compositions written, recorded and produced by James Gordon Anderson in early 2024.
Three musical versions: 1) MetaStatic Rivers, 2) MetaStatic Rivers 3, and 3) MetaStatic Rivers - Meridian Bells Cut, are presented in this collection in a variety of alternating visual representations.
Stylistically the works crystallise recent developments in my formal musical vocabulary - in what might be described as Polymodal Syncretism (or Syncretic Polymodalism!): which I define as the simultaneous deployment and blending of multiple temporal, harmonic and rhythmic schemes and motifs to create an overarching, non-linear hybrid artform.
